MINSK, Sept. 18 (Xinhua) -- Cyclone Thomas with heavy rains and a strong wind has come to Belarus, the country's meteorological center said Monday.
Belarus is under the influence of the cyclone Thomas on Monday, which is shifting from the southwest of Europe through the western regions of Ukraine along the northwestern borders of Belarus.
Early Monday morning, heavy rains passed, and on Monday afternoon they were observed in the northwest of the country.
The orange alert was announced in Belarus due to strong winds on September 18 and 19.
Cyclone Thomas came to Ukraine and Belarus from Romania, where the bad weather killed eight people, and left about 70 others injured.
