BOGOR, Indonesia, Oct. 18 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia and Qatar agreed on Wednesday to boost bilateral cooperation in the fields of infrastructure and tourism.

Indonesian President Joko Widodo held a meeting with visiting Emir of Qatar Syaikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani at the state palace.

"His Excellency Emir Al Thani and I had talks on efforts to bring cooperation on infrastructure and tourism to a higher level," President Widodo said after their meeting.

The Qatari emir led a huge business delegation, according to Widodo.

The Indonesia president invited Qatari investors to continue parking their capitals in Indonesia, such as in power plant projects.

"Indonesia will continuously encourage Qataris to invest in Indonesia," said Widodo.

The two countries inked deals on air transport, health, education, youth and sports.
