SINGAPORE, Oct. 31 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed lower on Tuesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) falling 0.06 percent or 1.89 points to close at 3,374.08.
A total of 2.14 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.43 billion Singapore dollars (about 1.05 billion U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered losers by 231 to 216.
The STI index closed down 0.31 percent or 10.47 points to close at 3,375.97 on Monday.
