SINGAPORE, Nov. 2 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed lower on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) declining 0.33 percent or 11.11 points to close at 3,380.5.
A total of 2.29 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.13 billion Singapore dollars (about 832.65 million U.S. dollars). Losers outnumbered gainers by 170 to 285.
The STI index closed up 0.52 percent or 17.53 points to close at 3,391.61 on Wednesday.
