Six people killed in bus-hearse crash in Mexico

MEXICO CITY, Nov. 11 (Xinhua) -- At least six people were killed and four others injured on Saturday when a passenger bus hit a hearse in the state of Zacatecas in central Mexico, the police announced.

Zacatecas' secretary of public security said the accident happened along highway 49 between the towns of Rio Grande and Juan Aldama, in the northeast of the state.

The hearse was carrying a body and four passengers from the town of Miguel Auza, when it struck the bus.

All four people on board the hearse died in the crash, along with the driver and one passenger on the bus, which was travelling from the border town of Ciudad Juarez to Mexico City.

The emergency rescue teams also treated four injured bus passengers, with one of them in serious condition and transferred to a hospital in Rio Grande.
