WUHAN -- China will strengthen protection of wetlands along the Yangtze River economic belt to address pollution and reclamation challenges, said a senior forestry official on Saturday.
The State Forestry Administration will give more support in wetland restoration and construction of national wetland parks to provinces along the belt, said Wang Zhigao, head of the wetland protection and management center under the administration at an ecological forum in Wuhan, capital of Hubei Province.

NANJING -- A China-Germany new businesses cooperation zone in east China's Jiangsu Province is expected to be home to 100 German enterprises by 2020, local authorities said Sunday.
The government of Kunshan City said that the number of European and American companies in the zone will reach 200 (including German companies) with an annual output of 30 billion yuan (4.5 billion U.S. dollars) by then.

SHANGHAI -- Trade at Alibaba, China's leading e-commerce platform, reached 168.3 billion yuan (25.4 billion U.S. dollars) on Saturday's shopping promotion.
Alipay, Alibaba's mobile payment platform, handled 1.48 billion payments from around the world, 41 percent more than last year.

BONN -- On the margins of the United Nations climate talks in Bonn, the Green Finance Committee (GFC) of the China Society for Finance and Banking and the European Investment Bank (EIB) on Saturday launched a White Paper that provides an international comparison of several green bond standards.
Introducing the White Paper, Yin Yong, deputy governor of the People's Bank of China (PBoC), said that "the report provides a basis for future international cooperation on improving green finance definitions and standards with a view to facilitating cross-border green capital flows."

MADRID -- Xiaomi, one of the leading high-tech enterprises of China, opened on Saturday morning its two physical stores via its authorized re-sellers in Madrid, the capital of Spain.
The physical stores, called Mi Home, have been Xiaomi's first in Western Europe.
The two Mi Homes are located in two commercial centers in Madrid: La Vaguada y Madrid Xanad. A huge number of customers, or so-called Mi Fans, have been waiting in long queue for more than half an hour to enter the store.
