HOUSTON, Nov. 21 (Xinhua) -- A large fire erupted on Tuesday in a recycling plant in east Houston, the U.S. state of Texas.
The Houston Fire Department confirmed the recycling plant, near the Port of Houston, was burning. A heavy plume of black smoke can be seen for miles across the city.
There were no immediate reports of any injuries, according to the Houston Fire Department.
The Port of Houston is an about 40 km long complex of diversified public and private facilities located a few hours' sailing time from the Gulf of Mexico.
