PUL-E-KHUMRI, Afghanistan (Xinhua) -- Three men allegedly trafficking 30 kg narcotics were arrested in Afghanistan's northern province of Baghlan, an official said Thursday.
The contraband made up of 7 kg poppy and 23 kg hashish have also been seized from the traffickers' possessions during routine checking of vehicles on the road.
The arrest happened when police stopped a truck to check in Andarab district of the province Thursday morning, Zabihullah Shuja, provincial police spokesman said.
The arrested men have been handed over to judiciary organs, said the source.
