China's CPI up 1.7 pct in November

BEIJING, Dec. 9 (Xinhua) -- China's consumer price index (CPI), a main gauge of inflation, rose 1.7 percent year on year in November, the National Bureau of Statistics said Saturday.

It was slightly down from October's 1.9 percent, according to the bureau.
