China is determined to build itself into a modern socialist country underpinned by fairness and justice through "targeted poverty alleviation" that will take 43 million people out of poverty by 2020. At present, China have dispatched 195,000 secretaries of the party to poor villages to shoulder the major responsibility of helping these villages get rid of poverty. Since June, Zhu Zhaofei was dispatched in Yangjiagou Village and Sigou Village as first Party secretary of these villages. There are 327 people of 98 families in these two villages, and only some old people live here as young people go out to find work. Zhu Zhaofei raised some money and found a cooperative to develop the livestock industry here. At present, 95 families have joint the cooperative. In addition, over 3.2 million yuan (about 484 thousand dollars) have been invested here on infrastructures. (Xinhua/Tao Ming)
