Chen Penglong (L), deputy head of Jingmen branch of China's Sinopec, a leading state-owned oil and gas company, works with other staff members to fight flood at a gas station in Tianmentuo City, central China's Hubei Province, July 20, 2016. Hubei was among the regions worst hit by downpours and flood in this summer. Chen, as a Communist Party of China (CPC) official of Sinopec Jingmen branch, took the lead in disaster rescue and relief efforts to ensure the safety of oil products in flood-hit automuboile gasoline stations. Unfortunately, Chen died on his way to fight flood in a rural gas station on July 20, as the agricultural tractor taken by him was overturned by floodwater in Yonglong Township. The CPC has more than 88 million members across the country. The Party members play an important role in the various walks of life. (Xinhua)
