The much-awaited "world's highest and longest" glass-bottomed bridge will open to visitors this weekend in Zhangjiajie City of central China's Hunan Province.
The bridge was completed last December at a cost of 22.5 million yuan, or 3.4 million US dollars. The 430-meter-long bridge is six metres wide, but is a staggering 300 meters above ground.
Designed by Israeli architect Haim Dotan, it has already set world records for its architecture and construction.
It is paved with 99 panes of three-layered transparent glass, and has a capacity of 800 people.
