KAMPALA, May 26 (Xinhua) -- Two professional players, Junior Yunus Ssentamu and William Kizito Luwagga were set to join the Uganda Kobs team ahead of the return leg of the 2016 Olympic Games/2015 CAF U-23 African Championship qualifier this weekend.
Coach Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic's team managed a 2-1 win over Rwanda last weekend to gain an advantage over their arch-rivals.
"We are not going to relax and think the job is done. I have decided to include Luwagga and Ssentamu to strengthen the team ahead of the return leg at the Nakivubo Stadium on Saturday," Sredojevic told Xinhua on Tuesday.
Ssentamu was Uganda Cranes top scorer at the 2014 Africa Nations Championship in South Africa. He currently plied his trade with CS Sfaxien in Tunisia. Luwagga featured for Sporting Covilha in the Portugal Segunda Liga.
The Uganda Kobs who resumed training on Tuesday need a draw to qualify for the next stage of the qualifiers.
Sredojevic however thought the job was not done yet as his players had to improve especially on the finishing.
"We created several scoring chances in Kigali, but scored only two. We need to improve and also have a better defending pattern," he added.
Following is the Uganda Kobs squad:
Jamal Salim, James Alitho, Ibrahim Kiyemba, Deus Bukenya, Brian Ochwo, Joseph Nsubuga, Shafiki, Bakaki, Tadeo Lwanga, Derrick Tekkwo, Keziron Kizito, Muzamiru Mutyaba, Farouk Miya, Tom Masiko, Martin Kiiza, Umar Kasumba, John Ssemazi, Erisa Sekisambu, Fahad Muhhamad Hassan, Junior Yunus Ssentamu and William Kizito Luwagga.
