MOSCOW, Dec. 30 (Xinhua) -- The website of the Primorsky Safari Park, a wildlife reserve in Russia's Far East, froze hours after an online broadcast of an unusual friendship between a tiger and a goat began.
"Our site has been blocked due to overload. At the moment, the problem of unblocking it is being solved," a notice on the reserve's web page said Wednesday.
The unlikely friendship between the Siberian tiger Amur and the goat Timur, which was supposed to become Amur's prey, caught the imagination of the public and made the headlines of the Russian media.
In the end of November, Amur, a three-year-old tiger, decided not to eat the goat, which offered stiff resistance and even took over the tiger's bed, forcing it to sleep on the shelter's roof.
Since then the two have been seen walking together with the goat playing the role of the leader. The two are separated only at night.
The reserve's management immediately reacted to the two friends' popularity and have opened an online shop with souvenirs portraying the tiger and the goat.
It later decided to install four online web cameras in the big enclosure and organize a live broadcast on the reserve's website.
