All disputes should be solved peacefully by negotiation: Czech official

PRAGUE, July 14 (Xinhua) -- The South China sea dispute should be resolved peacefully via negotiation, Jan Hamacek, chairman of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, said on Thursday.

In an interview with Xinhua, Hamacek said arbitration is an acceptable solution only when all parties agree to it beforehand.

"As China didn't agree to the arbitration, in this aspect I don't think it's right," he said.

Hamacek said he understands China is ready to negotiate directly with all parties concerned and hopes negotiations will take place.

Hamacek said China's stance -- that all disputes should be solved peacefully by negotiation -- "is absolutely in line with our opinion on how it should be settled." Enditem
