FIROZ KOH, Afghanistan, Nov. 15 (Xinhua) -- An helicopter of Afghan forces crashed in the western Ghor province with Firoz Koh as its capital, 360 km west of Kabul, on Sunday night, provincial police chief Mustafa Mohsini confirmed Tuesday.
According to the official, the chopper after developing technical problems above an airfield in Firoz Koh crashed, but "fortunately no one including the pilot" was hurt.
Meanwhile, an army official on the condition of anonymity has confirmed that the helicopter during operations against Taliban outside the provincial capital Firoz Koh city on Sunday evening got technical problems and crashed at the airbase.
He also noted that an investigation is underway to determine the reason for the incident.
