NANJING, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) -- Chinese and Vietnamese police arrested 29 fugitives in a six-month joint operation, they announced at a wrap-up meeting Monday.
Chinese police detained nine Vietnamese suspects in China while the Vietnamese side caught 20 Chinese suspects in Vietnam, according to the Ministry of Public Security (MPS).
The campaign, the second of its kind, ran from April to September this year. Another will begin in January and run until June.
The cooperation exercise will be used as a successful example of how to detain fugitives on the run, according to the MPS.
The first joint campaign between November 2014 and July 2015 resulted in the detention of 47 fugitives.
