PRAGUE, Dec. 1 (Xinhua) -- Czech President Milos Zeman on Thursday called on Czech companies to invest in Tajikistan in hydro energy industry.
In a meeting with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, Zeman said Tajikistan has potential in develping hydro energy industry, which could supply electric power to a broad area if it is used fully.
Rahmon said Czech Republic is an important partner of Tajikistan in Europe. The two countries have carried out a wide range of cooperation in economy, trade, investments, education, tourism and security. Rahmon said Tajikistan is ready to create favorable conditions for Czech companies to invest.
During their meeting, the two presidents also talked about bilateral relations, increasing risk of terrorism, among other issues.
At the end of their meeting, representatives from both countries signed an agreement on aviation services.
