AMMAN, Dec. 11 (Xinhua) -- Jordan on Sunday condemned the bomb attack at the Coptic Cathedral in Abbasiya's neighborhood of Egypt's Cairo and the twin blasts in Istanbul on Saturday.
Jordan's Minister of State for Media Affairs Mohammad Momani condemned the attack on the cathedral, saying this is a "cowardly attacks that target the lives of civilians."
Jordan rejects all forms of terrorism and violence, said the minister, expressing Jordan's full support for Egypt in fighting terrorism.
At least 23 people were killed and 49 others injured on Sunday in an explosion at the Coptic Cathedral in Abbasiya's neighborhood of Cairo, officials said in a statement.
Also on Sunday, the minister condemned the terrorist attacks that hit Turkey's Istanbul late Saturday.
The minister also voiced solidarity and support for Turkey.
He called for increased efforts by the international community to uproot terrorism.
Two bomb blasts outside a football stadium in central Istanbul on Saturday night have left 29 dead and 166 others injured.
