Shanghai smashes Jilin 115-84 in revenge game

BEIJING, Jan. 11 (Xinhua) -- Shanghai defeated Jilin 115-84 at home for their revenge in the 26th round of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) on Wednesday.

Shanghai who was toppled in Changchun earlier, didn't give any chance to the Jilin players this time. Without any hope of victory against the CBA leaders, the visitors even finished the last quarter with five bench players.

Jimmer Fredette had a game-high 37 points and six assists. Guerschon Yabusele snatched 19 points, 17 rebounds and five assists. And J.A. Brown led Jilin with 36 points.

Shanxi, who was defeated by Liaoning in the 7th round after three overtimes, suffered another loss to the old rivals 95-108. After a tug of war in the first three quarters, Liaoning rushed ahead with a 21-7 run to start the fourth en route to its victory.

Lester Hudson delivered 29 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Although Jamaal Franklin scored a game-high 34 points, Shanxi conceded its second consecutive loss.
