BEIJING, Jan. 11 (Xinhua) -- The leading Party group of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee has pledged continuous advancement of the anti-graft campaign in line with the call of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee.
The group held a meeting Wednesday to study a speech of General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee Xi Jinping at the seventh plenary session of the 18th CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, and key documents of the session, said an official statement.
Attendees of the meeting agreed that the spread of corruption has been effectively contained and the battle against corruption has gained crushing momentum, winning the people's hearts, said the statement.
They pledged continuous advancement of the anti-corruption campaign, including implementation of the code of frugality and restrictions against extravagance of senior leaders.
The attendees also agreed efforts must be made to ensure the election of members of the 13th CPPCC National Committee will be conducted in a correct way, said the statement.
Yu Zhengsheng, chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, presided over the meeting and delivered a speech.
