Ghanaian president Akufo-Addo submits second list of ministers to parliament

ACCRA, Jan. 11 (Xinhua) -- The President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, on Wednesday submitted a second list of 12 ministerial appointments for approval by parliament.

The latest appointments bring to 25 the total number of Ministers-designate so far announced by Akufo-Addo, who has promised to revive the country's economy and create jobs.

The president, in the new list, has created a ministry to be responsible for monitoring and evaluation to ensure timeous execution of government programs and projects.

He has also created a Ministry of Regional Reorganization and Development to be headed by Dan Kwaku Botwe, an experienced Member of Parliament, to restructure the governance system of the country.

"We are trying to put together a government of people who are doers," Akufo-Addo told a press conference at the Flagstaff House, the seat of government in Accra.

The president is expected to release the final batch of ministers-designate by the close of the week.
