SINGAPORE, Jan. 31 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks finished lower on Tuesday with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 18.05 points, or 0.59 percent, to close at 3,046.80.
A total of 1.29 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1.07 billion Singapore dollars (755.57 million U.S. dollars).
Decliners outnumbered gainers 215 to 192, while 678 others finished unchanged.
The STI index gained 13.07 points, or 0.43 percent, to close at 3,064.85 last Friday.
