BRUSSELS, Feb. 10 (Xinhua) -- Power supply restored early Friday morning in nearly all the districts in the Brussels' Capital Region after a rare power outage lasting about one hour and half ended.
The power cut, which started at around 10:40 p.m. local time (2140 GMT) Thursday, was due to a technical error in one of the high-voltage substations, said Elia, the Belgian high-voltage transmission system operator in Belgium, on Friday in a Twitter post.
The districts concerned include the European District where the institutions of the European Union are seated, according to Sibelga, the operator of the electricity distribution network in the region.
