DHAKA, Feb. 15 (Xinhua) -- Two concurrent international fairs covering plastic, packaging, printing and food technology industries kicked off in Bangladesh capita Dhaka on Wednesday.
Bangladesh Plastic Goods Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BPGMEA) in association with China's Taiwan-based Chan Chao Int'l and China's Hong Kong-based Yorkers Trade and Marketing Service organized the four-day fairs in Dhaka's Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC).
BPGMEA president Md Jasim Uddin said more than 400 exhibitors are present at the fairs from 14 countries.
He said an estimate of over 11,000 trade visitors are expected to participate in the event, making it powerful platforms for extensive business contacts and fruitful business exchanges among all the parties associated with the entire industrial chains.
"Exhibitors came from 14 countries and regions, namely Bangladesh, China, India, Italy, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Turkey, UAE, Thailand and Vietnam have joined the fairs," he added.
"The fairs will create opportunities for technology transfer, investment, getting latest development in international arena, one to one meeting and mostly a bonding among the businessmen of the participatory countries," Md Jasim Uddin said.
Bangladesh Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu inaugurated the fairs on Wednesday morning.
