DAMASCUS, Feb. 23 (Xinhua) -- Turkey-backed Syrian rebels on Thursday announced the capture of the city of al-Bab, the last major stronghold of the Islamic State (IS) group in northern Syria, near the Turkish borders, Saudi-funded Alarabiya TV reported.
