RIO DE JANEIRO, March 2 (Xinhua) -- Brazil's Internacional have announced the signing of Argentina international defender Victor Cuesta on a four-year deal.
The 28-year-old agreed to terms with the Porto Alegre outfit on Thursday after parting ways with Argentina's Independiente, Internacional said in a statement.
Cuesta was due to undergo a medical on Friday and could make his debut for his new club against their local rivals Gremio in the Campeonato Gaucho on Saturday.
Local media reports said Internacional paid two million U.S. dollars for the center-back.
Cuesta has been capped three times for Argentina's national team and was part of the Albiceleste squad that reached the final of last year's Copa America.
