MANAMA, March 12 (Xinhua) -- Bangladesh embassy in Bahrain has admitted that there are Bangladeshis human trafficking gangsters who are behind the ever-increasing number of illegal workers in the country, Al Wasat local news reported on Sunday.

The Bangladesh Ambassador told the newspaper that the embassy has a plan for the arrests of those gang members to deport them back to their countries.

Those gangs are involved in the illegal employment of Bangladeshis in Bahrain as they bring laborers after paying huge amount of money, while cheating them that they obtained secure jobs for them in the country.

When those victims arrive they discover that there are no jobs for them and have to work illegally to pay their loans.

The embassy enforced early this month a temporary ban on issuing permission for its nationals to work in Bahrain until solving problems facing them in the country.

According to the embassy, there are 180,000 Bangladeshis working in Bahrain, in which around 50,000 are illegal workers. The officials confirmed that there is a huge number of workers who are homeless and sleep on the roads and public utilities.
