HO CHI MINH CITY, May 5 (Xinhua) -- A 195-km expressway linking Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City and Cambodia's Phnom Penh will be constructed with investment of some 650 million U.S. dollars, a Vietnamese transport department said Friday.

The expressway will include a 65-km section stretching from Ho Chi Minh City to Moc Bai international border gate in southern Tay Ninh province, and a 130-km section from Cambodia's Bavet city, Svay Rieng province to Phnom Penh, said the International Cooperation Department under the Transport Ministry.

The expressway will have six lanes, allow vehicles to run at a maximum speed of 120 km per hour, and help reduce loads for the national road No. 22 which is now the only way linking Ho Chi Minh City with Moc Bai.
