Wu Zhenglong appointed acting governor of east China's Jiangsu Province

NANJING, May 31 (Xinhua) -- Wu Zhenglong was appointed vice governor and acting governor of east China's Jiangsu Province Wednesday.

The decision was made at the 30th session of the standing committee of the 12th provincial People's Congress, the local legislative body, which also accepted the resignation of the former governor Shi Taifeng.

Wu, a native of the provincial capital Nanjing, was born in 1964. He worked as deputy secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Jiangsu provincial committee and secretary of CPC Nanjing municipal committee since October 2016.
