DUSSELDORF, Germany, June 5 (Xinhua) -- Defending champion Ma Long will meet Chinese teammate Fan Zhendong in the men's singles final of the World Table Tennis Championships here on Monday.
Ma, also the Olympic champion in Rio and world No. 1, beat world No. 3 Xu Xin in four straight games 11-6, 11-9, 11-9, 11-3.
Second seed Fan, who had earned the men's doubles champion with Xu, then crushed South Korea's Lee Sangsu, the No. 17 seed, 11-5, 11-9, 11-6, 11-1.
"In a match with Xu Xin, I need to play 120 percent best to beat him," Ma said.
The final will be played later on Monday.
