MINSK, July 5 (Xinhua) -- Members of the Contact Group on the settlement of the situation in Ukraine supported extension of the harvest truce, the OSCE's special representative in the trilateral contact group on Ukraine said on Wednesday.
Members of the contact group on Ukraine said that the number of attacks has dropped thanks to the harvest truce, which was declared on June 21.
Martin Sajdik referred to the importance of the UN Security Council resolution adopted on June 30, local media reported. The resolution called on all the parties to the conflict to abandon arbitrarily using mines and explosive devices.
He also said that representatives of the contact group recognized the completion of the process of additional checks on the verification of prisoners in Ukraine.
The next meeting of the contact group on Ukraine will be held on July 19.
