CAIRO, July 17 (Xinhua) -- Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry stressed that Egypt is committed to the list of demands submitted to Qatar, adding that the measures taken against the Arab country will continue.

Shoukry met Monday with his Kuwaiti counterpart Sheikh Sabah Khaled al Hamad al Sabah, currently visiting Egypt.

Shoukry expressed Egypt's appreciation to the endeavors of Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah al Ahmad al Jaber al Sabah to settle the crisis with Qatar on the backdrop of its negative role in the region, said the Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid.

The four countries (Egypt-Saudi Arabia-UAE-Bahrain) sense that Qatar goes on adopting the policy of procrastination, paying no attention to the aspirations of the region's peoples to curb terrorism, Shoukry affirmed.

The two ministers also discussed means of promoting Egyptian-Kuwaiti ties and preparations for the joint committee to be held this year, the spokesman reiterated.
