ANKARA, July 20 (Xinhua) -- The UK authority has informed Turkish officials that the flight electronics ban imposed in March will be lifted from Turkey, state-run Anadolu Agency reported Thursday.
Earlier this month, the U.S. lifted a three-month-long ban on in-cabin electronic devices, such as laptops and tablet computers, on flights from Turkey.
In March, the U.S. banned large electronics in cabins on flights from 10 airports in eight countries - Egypt, Morocco, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar and Turkey - to address fears that explosives could be concealed in devices.
The UK followed the regulation soon, covering six countries in its ban.
