KIEV, Aug. 2 (Xinhua) -- Ukraine's dairy exports have increased by 76.6 percent in the first half of 2017 to 117.2 million U.S. dollars, the Ukrainian Food Export Board (UFEB) said on Wednesday.

The growth was achieved due to the increased overseas supplies of butter, milk whey and cheese, which have increased by 300 percent, 50 percent and 21.3 percent respectively, the UFEB said in a statement.

In the first half of 2017, China was the largest importer of Ukraine's milk whey, purchasing 6.8 million U.S. dollars worth of this product, the statement said.

Ukraine got the green-light to export milk products to China in September 2015. Now, 27 enterprises working in the East European country have the right to supply dairy goods to China.
