NAIROBI, Sept. 8 (Xinhua) -- Kenya's Joyciline Jepkosgei will return to the Czech Republic for the Birell Grand Prix on Saturday with an eye on winning the 10,000m race ahead of October's Chicago marathon.

Jepkosgei made a remarkable 1:04:52 win at the Prague Half Marathon earlier this year.

She will be joined by Violah Jepchumba, who was also in Prague and tailed Jopkosgei by just one second at the 10km point in 30:05 - well inside the world best for the distance of 30:21.

Also in the field is Fancy Chemutai, who ran 30:23 in Appingedam, the Netherlands earlier this year.

"I want to test the endurance of my training and how I will react to active competition. But the idea is to win in fast time and look forward to full marathon competition. My challengers should expect no love and be prepared for battle," said Jepkosgei.

Kenya's Abraham Kipyatich, last year's men's 10,000m winner, is back and takes on Bernard Kimeli, this year's world leading runner on road with 27:15, and Mathew Kimeli, who is leading the world under-20 result on track with 27:14.43.
