China's private investment up 6.4 pct in first eight months

BEIJING, Sept. 14 (Xinhua) -- China's private fixed-asset investment grew 6.4 percent year on year in the first eight months of this year, down from 6.9 percent for the January-July period, the National Bureau of Statistics said Thursday.
