Two people hurt after suspected gas explosion in Scotland: reports

LONDON, Oct. 5 (Xinhua) -- At least two people were injured Thursday after a suspected gas explosion at a building in Newmains, Southern Scotland, local media reported.

Emergency services were called to the scene at a former convent on Bonkle Road, in Newmains, Lanarkshire just after 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Scottish Daily Record reported.

Two people, who were in the building at the time, are understood to have got out the building and are being treated on the scene.
