JAKARTA, Oct. 9 (Xinhua) -- A total of 36 teams from 10 countries and regions will compete in the biggest rugby tournament in recent years in Bali resort island of Indonesia this month, coordinator to the event coordinator Denim McHardy said on Monday.
The tournament so called "Karma Bali Rugby Fest" will be played in the tourist hub of Kuta in Badung district from October 14 to 15, the coordinator said.
Among the ten countries and regions are Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia and Singapore, he said.
"This year, the number of team participating in the match exceeds that of last year of 22," he was quote by Antara news agency as saying in Bali.
Regarding the highest alert level of Mount Agung volcano in the resort island, the coordinator said that the situation is safe for the tournament.
"There is no team cancelling participation," he said.
