KABUL, Oct. 11 (Xinhua) -- Up to 15 Taliban fighters have been confirmed dead as Afghan aircrafts targeted militants' hideouts in parts of the eastern Paktia province on Tuesday, said a statement of Interior Ministry released here on Wednesday.
According to the statement, 11 militants were killed in Sayed Karam district after the aircrafts pounded Taliban positions on Tuesday evening.
Four more militants were killed in air raids in Ahmad Abad district of Paktia province on Tuesday, the statement asserted.
Five more militants sustained injuries in the sorties, according to the statement.
Taliban militants have not commented.
