BEIJING, Nov. 7 (Xinhua) -- You Quan, head of the United Front Work Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, said Tuesday the united front should always remain consistent with the CPC Central Committee.
You, who is also member of the CPC Central Committee Secretariat, made the remarks at a meeting for people with no party affiliations, non-Communist intellectuals, and those from new social classes to study and implement the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress.
New social classes are mainly composed of those who work for organizations or professions that came into being after China's reform and opening up drive starting 1978, including private and foreign-funded businesses, intermediary agencies and freelancing, among others.
You said members of the united front should avail their professional advantage and social influence to publicize and explain the congress spirit and give advice on the country's major strategic arrangements like innovative development and supply-side structural reform.
There has been a massive wave of studying the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress across the country since it concluded last month.
