ISTANBUL, Nov. 8 (Xinhua) -- Five people were killed and four others injured on Wednesday in an explosion at a paint factory in Turkey's northwestern province of Bursa, local media reported.
Izzettin Kucuk, governor of Bursa, told reporters on the scene that the blast was caused by gas entrapment in a steam boiler.
"It was a strong explosion and caused damage in other plants and vehicles in the surrounding area," Kucuk was quoted as saying by the state-run Anadolu Agency.
The factory building partially collapsed and rescue operations were continuing, press reports said.
