GARDEZ, Afghanistan, Nov. 14 (Xinhua) -- A roadside mine blast killed at least five people including two security personnel in Afghanistan's eastern province of Paktia, an official said here on Tuesday.
"The mine placed on a road in Wam area of Ahmad Khil district Sunday evening struck a convoy leaving five people dead including three civilians, one public order policeman and another national army soldier. Three army troops were also wounded at the spot," Abdullah Hasrat, the spokesman for provincial government told Xinhua.
No group has claimed responsibility for the bombing yet.
Anti-government militants usually use roadside bombings and suicide attacks to target security forces in Afghanistan.
