KIEV, Nov. 14 (Xinhua) -- Visiting World Bank (WB) President Jim Yong Kim here on Tuesday has recognized Ukraine's reform progress and pledged continued assistance to the country in implementing reforms, the Ukrainian government press service said in a statement.
"We are inspired by what has already been done. And we are ready to share our best practices and experience to continue these processes," the WB chief was quoted as saying during the meeting with Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman.
In particular, the WB experts stand ready to share the experience with Ukrainian colleagues in implementing farmland, education and healthcare reforms, Kim said, adding that the WB would also provide support for Kiev's anti-graft efforts, including the establishment of the anti-corruption court.
For his part, Groysman said that Ukraine's reform agenda for the future includes the completion of the pension reform, large-scale privatization, and the energy reform aimed at transforming the country from the importer of energy resources to an exporter.
The WB is one of the key reform advisers and financial investors into Ukraine. Currently, the bank is implementing seven projects in the East European country totally worth 2 billion U.S. dollars.
The WB chief arrived in Kiev on Monday for a two-day visit to discuss Ukraine's reform efforts with senior officials of the country.
