LAGOS, Nov. 17 (Xinhua) -- Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday commiserated with President Hassan Rouhani and the people of Iran over the massive devastation and loss of lives caused by an earthquake in that country.
Spokesperson of the president, Garba Shehu, said in a statement reaching Xinhua that the devastating earthquake which struck Iran's western Kermanshah province on Sunday, was painful.
He described the disaster and its fallout as very unfortunate, sad and massive.
President Buhari also expressed similar condolences to the government and people of Iraq over human and material losses suffered in the wake of the earthquake on their border with Iran. Enditem
