BELGRADE, Nov. 29 (Xinhua) -- The Communist Party of China (CPC) has valuable governance experience and outstanding capability to come up with ideas to tackle domestic and global challenges, a Serbian veteran politician has said.

Zarko Obradovic, vice president of the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) and the man who had started Chinese language study in elementary and high schools when he was education minister, said the dialogue would be an opportunity to pool global wisdom for improving the living standards of all.

The former minister made the remarks ahead of his trip to Beijing for a high-level dialogue between the CPC and other parties from across the world.

As the CPC governs a big country with a population of 1.3 billion plus, he said it was very important that the CPC has its own concept of organization and management so as to lead the society ahead.

He noted that in China, the officials are elected from the best candidates who have rich experience to turn development ideas into practice.

And he called the CPC's focus on strict governance of the party the best way to maintain the party's healthy development so that it can continue to meet the needs of the people.

Through its efforts to guide China's reform and opening-up, the CPC, he said, has learned how to seek and find the best solutions and adapt to "the moment, the place, the role and the relations within the international community," he said.

Under the leadership of General Secretary Xi Jinping of the CPC Central Committee, the CPC has promoted China's role as a major country in the world, Obradovic said.

He particularly mentioned the concept of "building a community of shared future for mankind" advanced by Xi and reiterated at the landmark 19th CPC National Congress last month.

The message of this is that "if we pay attention to the future and our common life, we have to also harmonize our plans," he commented.

The Belt and Road Initiative can play an important role in that, Obradovic said.

Proposed by Xi in 2013, the initiative comprises the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road and aims to build a trade, investment and infrastructure network connecting Asia with Europe and Africa along and beyond the ancient Silk Road trade routes.

"The Belt and Road is the first global initiative that absolutely fits into the concept of a community of shared future for mankind, as well as the first concept that has a developmental component relating to such a great number of countries," Obradovic said.

"It will bring huge benefit to mankind," he added.

Regarding the upcoming high-level dialogue, which will open Thursday and conclude Sunday, Obradovic said he is looking forward to Xi's keynote speech at the dialogue's opening ceremony and communicating with other participants.

"In one place we can exchange plenty of ideas, and hear and get to know plenty of examples on how cooperation between countries can become even better and make the world a safer place to live in," he said.

Leaders from more than 200 parties and political organizations in more than 120 countries have registered for the meeting, according to Guo Yezhou, deputy head of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee.

"The dialogue is held in response to the request from parties around the world for in-depth knowledge of the 19th CPC National Congress, Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and the concept of building a community of shared future for mankind and a better world," Guo said.

"It is aimed at providing an opportunity for equal communication between global parties and pooling their wisdom to deal with development difficulties and challenges the human society is facing," Guo noted.

It will be the first high-level dialogue the CPC holds with parties from the globe.
