The annual Hainan International Tourism Island Carnival, kicked off in early November in the Southern China Hainan island, brought a cultural feast to the visitors from home and abroad.

Hainan World Leisure Tourism Exposition, tourism products with favorable prices, a wide variety of delicious local foods, various dancing and singing performances, and cheongsam fashion show, which shows the beauty of a traditional Chinese women's dress also known as Qipao, were all highlights of the carnival.

The bamboo pole dance, a dance form loved by a minority nationality in Hainan showed the audience the regional characteristics of the Li minority nationality.

By viewing the bamboo pole dance, the audience could experience the charm of local culture in Hainan, the southern most offshore island of China known for its tropical climate and alluring seas.

Another attractive performance the audience enjoyed was the “Danzhou Diaosheng”, a beautiful singing rich in local tune.

Also, artists from southeast Asia and Europe brought their dancing performances and opera performances to the carnival.

The carnival is scheduled to last till December 30.
