Photo taken on Oct. 28, 2017 shows a gender-neutral restroom at Dayan Tower scenic spot in Xi'an, capital of northwest China's Shaanxi Province. A total of 1,135 free-standing public toilets will be built in downtown Xi'an. Meanwhile, over 2,000 existing public toilets will also be renovated and updated. In a survey by China National Tourism Administration (CNTA), 80 percent of respondents said they had seen marked changes in the quality of the nation's toilets. Building on success in the past three years, China plans to install or upgrade another 64,000 toilets at tourist sites from 2018 to 2020. (Xinhua/Zhang Bowen)
