SEOUL, Dec. 12 (Xinhua) -- South Korea's girl group TWICE on Tuesday topped local music streaming charts with its new song Heart Shaker.

Heart Shaker is a lead song of the nine-member act's new album Merry & Happy, the reissue of October's TWICETAGRAM album. It is the female act's fourth single of this year in South Korea.

The new song was released at 6:00 p.m. local time Monday and ranked No. 1 as of 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at eight local music streaming charts, including Melon, Genie, Olleh Music, Mnet.com, Bugs and Naver Music, according to Yonhap news agency report.

Only 14 hours after the music video was unveiled, it racked up over 7.4 million views on YouTube.

Heart Shaker became the girl group's seventh hit since the release of its first song Like Ooh-Ahh in 2015.

Among the act's music videos, Knock Knock, Signal and Likey have recorded over 100 million views.

On Nov. 29, the TWICE won Song of the Year Award at this year's Mnet Asian Music Awards with Signal.
