BEIJING, Dec. 31 (Xinhua) -- Any game is good in overtime. Both Shandong and Tongxi claimed the victory through overtime in the 22nd round of the 2017-2018 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Sunday night.
Former NBA player Ding Yanyuhang helped Shandong shake Beijing and enlarge the advantage to 11 points at the end of the third quarter. Beijing started to fight back in the last quarter with three-pointers.
When Jia Cheng of Shandong scored a tear drop, the game entered the added time with a 116-116 tie. Shandong then outscored Beijing 128-126 to seal the win.
Ding of Shandong contributed game-high 38 points, Justin Hamilton and Fang Shuo of Beijing got 25 and 23 points.
Hickson had 48 points and 17 rebounds to help Tongxi defeated Fujian 127-123 in overtime, ending 2 game-losing streak.
Facing Bayi, Liaoning downed former powerhouse 105-79 with no suspense.
